Brand identity & website design for Newcastle based paediatricians, Dr Kate Tenney & Dr Eric Mills of Hunter Valley Paediatrics.

Brief: To create a recognisable brand for a new Paediatric practice that is both appealing to parents/carers and to children of different ages, from babies to teens. Design and develop an SEO optimised & responsive website experience for the practice, to attract new patients and build referrals prior to opening the doors of the new practice. The project also included printed collateral including business cards, letterhead, stickers, signage, wall decals and height charts for use within the practice.
Our Approach: We approached the brand from the starting point of it’s location and name-sake ‘Hunter Valley’ and brainstormed around these words. We explored those beautiful and terrifying ‘Hunters’ - the dinosaurs (so loved by children of every age), and coupled them with visions of a floral meadow, representing the ‘Valley’, and so, the theme of ‘Dinos in a meadow’ was born, and quickly evolved into something very special!
Outcome: Upon the soft launch of the website and brand, and prior to opening it’s doors, Hunter Valley Paediatrics had already gathered over 60 referrals for new patients, and had attracted two new Paediatricians who were recruited to join the growing practice. The brand elicits a gentle kind of joy, happy, nurturing, playful and fun, and holds balance between the professionalism of the Paediatric team, and the care and connection they offer to families of the Hunter Valley region.
